Quaker Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let Northgate onto the board and left with a 10-0 win back in March.
Meanwhile, Ellwood City stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Beaver Falls with a sharp 13-0 victory. The win was just what Ellwood City needed coming off of a 20-1 defeat in their prior contest.
Amber McQuistion made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched.
