The Brick Memorial Mustangs typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Long Branch Green Wave proved too difficult a challenge. Long Branch took down Brick Memorial 21-7. The win made it back-to-back wins for Long Branch.
Brick Memorial's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Connor Dietz, who rushed for 153 yards. Dietz is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Long Branch is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Brick Memorial, their loss ended a eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-1.
Long Branch will head out on the road to face off against Winslow Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Winslow Township is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Brick Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
