Volleyball Recap: Jasper Falls Short Against Ranked Spain Park

Jasper faced Spain Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Jaguars. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.

DeCaleigh Calvin paced Jasper's offense, picking up eight kills. Calvin got some help from Emma Rigsby and her 14 assists.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 31-10. As for Spain Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-6 record this season.

Jasper didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Fairhope on the 11th. As for Spain Park, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Buckhorn on the 11th.
