Basketball Game Preview: South Hardin Tigers vs. Northwest Webster Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Cougars on Thursday. One thing working in South Hardin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

South Hardin will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Roland-Story, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. South Hardin came out on top against Roland-Story by a score of 55-45 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Northwest Webster had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven last Monday. They walked away with a 51-38 victory over the Panthers. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Panthers are ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Hardin is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games. As for Northwest Webster, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
