Baseball Game Preview: Hilton Head Island Seahawks vs. Bluffton Bobcats

For the second straight game, Hilton Head Island will face off against Bluffton. The Seahawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hilton Head Island is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Hilton Head Island is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Bluffton with a sharp 19-8 victory on Wednesday.

Jackson Hollman looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Slater Alsobrook was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Collin Lozan was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run.

Hilton Head Island kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Hilton Head Island is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Bluffton, they dropped their record down to 9-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
