Volleyball Recap: Puxico Takes a Loss

Puxico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sikeston Bulldogs. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Puxico ultimately came up short, they really made Sikeston work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 25-17.

Leading Sikeston to victory were Bailey Null and Londyn Mitchell. Null had 16 digs, while Mitchell had six digs and three aces. That's the most digs Null has posted over her last seven matches.

Puxico's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Sikeston, their win ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11-1.

Coming up, Puxico will look to defend their home court on Monday against Dexter at 6:30 p.m. As for Sikeston, they will be taking part in a tournament against Saxony Lutheran at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
