Basketball Game Preview: Columbia Lions vs. Northport Mustangs

The Columbia Lions and the Northport Mustangs will face off at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Columbia has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with ten straight defeats, while Northport will come in with three straight wins.

It was a proper cat-fight when Columbia challenged Republic on Friday. Columbia had to suffer through a 80-37 loss at the hands of Republic.

Meanwhile, Northport hadn't done well against Cusick recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Northport came out on top against Cusick by a score of 69-57.

Northport's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Columbia took a serious blow against Northport when the teams last played back in January, falling 87-60. Can Columbia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
