Volleyball Recap: Shawano Community Comes Up Short

The Shawano Community Hawks lost 3-0 to the Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-6.

Creden Weisnicht paced Shawano Community's offense, picking up four kills. Weisnicht got some help from London Bowman and her five assists.

Leading Fox Valley Lutheran to victory were Riley Schmitz and Hayden Massonet. Schmitz had 11 digs and three aces, while Massonet had five digs and three aces. What's more, Massonet racked up 11 assists, the most she's had over her last nine matches.

Shawano Community has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Fox Valley Lutheran, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Shawano Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Merrill on the 25th. As for Fox Valley Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Menasha on the 25th.
