Two weeks ago, IDEA Frontier College Prep had to suffer through a rough 69-14 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. IDEA Frontier College Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.
Meanwhile, Santa Rosa came up short against the Stingrays on Monday and fell 35-26.
Despite their defeat, Santa Rosa saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lilyan Lopez, who scored nine points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Lopez is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Mendoza, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
IDEA Frontier College Prep's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Santa Rosa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.
IDEA Frontier College Prep was taken down by the Warriors 50-19 in their previous meeting back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point IDEA Frontier College Prep was down 27-6.
