Softball Game Preview: Beavercreek Beavers vs. Loveland Tigers

The Beavercreek Beavers will take on the Loveland Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Beavercreek and four for Loveland.

Beavercreek lost 15-7 to Northmont on Wednesday.

Viera Barrett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. Another player making a difference was Annessa Stamper, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Loveland came up short against West Clermont on Thursday and fell 10-5.

Loveland saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruby Biggers, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Biggers' first of the season. Payton Brown was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Loveland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Beavercreek, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Beavercreek hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Loveland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
