Menaul is 9-1 against Jemez Valley since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Warrior at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Menaul is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Legacy Academy just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Silverbacks. Considering the last time the Panthers couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-19, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Jemez Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Coronado on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Jemez Valley actually scored more points across those five sets (112-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 11-25, 20-25, 20-18.

Menaul's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-7. As for Jemez Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Menaul beat Jemez Valley 3-1 when the teams last played on October 2nd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
