Basketball Recap: McQueen Takes a Loss

McQueen and Spanish Springs squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but McQueen had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 55-15 loss at the hands of the Spanish Springs Cougars. The match marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Izzy Richards was McQueen's leading scorer, having posted six points. Richards also led the team in rebounds with five.

McQueen has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 17 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season. As for Spanish Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

McQueen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spanish Springs, they will take on Bishop Manogue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Spanish Springs' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
