Basketball Game Preview: Christel House Eagles vs. Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars

The Christel House Eagles will square off against the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

After dropping their season opener at home, Greenwood Christian Academy is headed out to face a Eagles squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Christel House took a 72-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beech Grove on Saturday.

Loss or not, Christel House got some senior leadership from David Brigham Jr and Dayshawn Griffin. Brigham Jr went 8-for-13 to rack up 26 points and three steals, while Griffin shot 45% from the field en route to 19 points. Brigham Jr is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Dereja Fesseha was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Greenwood Christian Academy played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 73-52 to Greenwood. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Woodmen: they've now lost five in a row.
