Athens hadn't done well against Midwest Central recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Raiders. The Warriors not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024 (when they won 16-0).

Cody Tobias made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
