Softball Preview: Fleming County Panthers vs. Rowan County Vikings
The Fleming County Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Rowan County Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fleming County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Russell hit Fleming County with a five-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 9-4 to the Red Devils.
Abby Ross was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
