East came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down Wayne 58-41. The final result isn't all that surprising considering East's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Wayne is ranked 391st).

East's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Wayne, they dropped their record down to 9-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, East will square off against Our Lady of Mercy at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
