Basketball Recap: Monroeville Victorious

Monroeville hadn't done well against Western Reserve recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Monroeville Eagles walked away with a 51-41 win over the Western Reserve Roughriders. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 55-34 loss the last time these two teams met.

The victory got Monroeville back to even at 3-3. As for Western Reserve, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroeville will challenge South Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Monroeville is facing South Central at the right time seeing as South Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Western Reserve, they will face off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
