Gateway and Osceola are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Panthers will square off against the Kowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Gateway easily dispatched Evans on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Panthers fell just short of St. Cloud by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Osceola was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Minneola. The loss continues a trend for the Kowboys in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Osceola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Grant, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Gateway has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Gateway couldn't quite get it done against Osceola in their previous matchup on Friday as they fell 11-6. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
