Beaver Local had won 16 straight home games dating back to last season and Karsyn Bowyer did her part to make it 17 on Tuesday. The Beavers put the hurt on the Indian Creek Redskins with a sharp 3-0 win for which the team can thank Bowyer, who had six digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21, 25-5.

Beaver Local's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Pease, who had six digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Beaver Local was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 15 consecutive matches.

Beaver Local's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Indian Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Beaver Local and Minerva will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
