Softball Recap: St. Peter Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

St. Peter had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Le Sueur-Henderson Giants with a sharp 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

St. Peter's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Le Sueur-Henderson, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

St. Peter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-6 defeat against Jackson County Central on the 15th. As for Le Sueur-Henderson, they will challenge Medford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.45 runs per game on average), something the Giants will no doubt try to take advantage of.
