Softball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Oxford's offense. They came up short against the Lake Orion Dragons on Monday, falling 10-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Lake Orion, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7-1 record this season.

Oxford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Clarkston on the 20th. As for Lake Orion, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Marian at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in the Dragons' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Mustangs have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
