Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin). They claimed a resounding 42-13 victory over the Wayne Memorial Zebras. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Zebras are ranked 358th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daylen Neal was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 143 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also caught one TD. Those 143 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Franklin's record is now 4-2. As for Wayne Memorial, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Franklin will square off against Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wayne Memorial, they will take on Dearborn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Zebras will be up against the Pioneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
