Basketball Recap: Bruton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Bruton needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Annalise Wood. The Bruton Panthers took down the Jamestown Eagles 60-42 on Thursday thanks in part to Wood, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zymeia Taliaferro, who posted four points and eight rebounds. Taliaferro is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

The win got Bruton back to even at 4-4. As for Jamestown, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bruton will welcome Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jamestown, they will be playing at home against Smithfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
