Del Rio had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 24-17 victory over the Warren Warriors on Friday. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 18-13 defeat the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Ivan Ramirez was a one-man wrecking crew for Del Rio as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Ramirez's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Fermin Rodriguez also helped out as he racked up 112 rushing yards.

Del Rio was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Warren only rushed for 79.

Although Warren took the loss, they still got scores from Ernesto James and Davian Gonzales.

The win got Del Rio back to even at 1-1. As for Warren, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Rio will head out to square off against New Braunfels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren, they are taking a road trip to challenge O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
