Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Goose Creek). Everything went their way against the Philip Simmons Iron Horses on Thursday as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Gators as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Jaionna Wheatley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Lyric Cureton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Goose Creek's victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Philip Simmons, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Goose Creek beat Philip Simmons by a score of 13-0 later that day.
