Basketball Recap: Trinity Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Trinity won the last time they faced Smoky Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trinity Celtics put the hurt on the Smoky Valley Vikings with a sharp 52-30 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Celtics.

Smoky Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Heitschmidt, who posted six points and nine rebounds. Marik Anderson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Trinity's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. As for Smoky Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-44 defeat against Sacred Heart on the 31st. Smoky Valley has also already played their next matchup, a 61-46 loss against Russell on the 30th.
