Baseball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cudahy on Friday, Palmyra-Eagle came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 9-1 to the Johnson Creek Bluejays on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Bluejays recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Palmyra-Eagle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Brodzik, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Dillen Patrick also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Palmyra-Eagle's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Johnson Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

While Palmyra-Eagle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
