Recap: Dodge County Indians vs. Worth County Rams
The Dodge County Indians can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 59-28 win over Worth County on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Dodge County who now have five in a row.
Lyric Green continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 22 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Dodge County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Ingram, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Worth County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of A?Mya Garmon, who scored eight points along with three steals, and Breonna Jackson who scored seven points. Garmon hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Dodge County's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Worth County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dodge County will take on Hawkinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hawkinsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Dodge County is ranked 79th). As for Worth County, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Jeff Davis at 2:00 p.m.
