Baseball Recap: Henderson County Comes Up Short

Henderson County lost against Castle back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colonels came up short against the Knights, falling 12-2. The Colonels just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Tucker Siewert was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Corben Throgmorton, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Henderson County's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Castle, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henderson County will face off against Warren East at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Castle, they will challenge Evansville Mater Dei at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
