Baseball Recap: Norton's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Norton dropped their record down to 5-6 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Dedham Marauders by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 9-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Quinn Murphy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

As for Dedham, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch.

On Dedham's side, Jack Haven spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.
