Softball Recap: Jefferson's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Mitchell last Friday, Jefferson came back down to earth. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Brandon Valley Lynx by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lynx apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Macy Bryant was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayleah Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jefferson fell to 3-1. As for Brandon Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will take on O'Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brandon Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something the Lynx will no doubt try to take advantage of.
