Football Game Preview: Liberty Chargers vs. Poinciana Eagles

The Liberty Chargers are taking a road trip to challenge the Poinciana Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Liberty came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of Haines City. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.

Meanwhile, Poinciana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by St. Cloud and fell 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 120th).

Poinciana's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Liberty, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Liberty couldn't quite finish off Poinciana in their previous meeting back in February and fell 19-17. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
