Soccer Recap: Shepard Comes Up Short

Shepard lost against Joliet Central back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Astros came up short against the Steelmen, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Shepard were already down 4-0.

Shepard's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15-1. As for Joliet Central, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

Looking ahead, Shepard will square off against Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shepard are facing Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South at the right time seeing as Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Joliet Central, they will face off against Joliet West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Joliet West will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Joliet Central surely won't give up without a fight.
