            Basketball Recap: Whitehall Vikings vs. Spring Lake Lakers        
        
		
        
        
            If Whitehall was feeling good  fresh off their  76-41 takedown of Orchard View last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Whitehall Vikings fell just short of the Spring Lake Lakers by a score of  46-44 on Wednesday. The  game was a  20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Vikings couldn't quite close it out.

 Despite the loss, Whitehall still got an impressive performance from   Camden Thompson, who  dropped  a double-double with 29  points and 14  boards. Thompson's big performance that  evening made it 31 games in a row in which  he has scored at least 18 points.  Brock Morningstar was another key player,  putting up six points.
Whitehall's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Spring Lake, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record  this season.
 Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spring Lake, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  63-44  win against Oakridge on the 28th.
