Soccer Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford was the 3-0 winner over Austin when they last played one another back in March of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Oxford Yellow Jackets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Austin Black Bears on Saturday.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Austin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5-2 record this season.

Oxford will take on Pell City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Austin has already played their next match (against Jasper), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
