Volleyball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Crawford

Crawford took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Beckville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pirates came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bearcats on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since November 21, 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Averi Bolgiano, who had nine digs and two aces.

Bolgiano wasn't the only good server: Crawford was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The victory (which was Crawford's seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1. As for Beckville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Crawford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Clifton on the 16th. As for Beckville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against West on the 16th.
