Football Game Preview: Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy vs. Nemaha Central

On Friday Nemaha Central will take on Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.

Last Friday, Nemaha Central put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Atchison County 50-0. Senior Dalton Schmelzle was the offensive standout of the match for Nemaha Central, as he passed for 153 yards and 3 touchdowns. Schmelzle has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.

Meanwhile, Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy might be getting used to good results now that the team has four wins in a row. They took down Pleasant Ridge 38-22.

Their wins bumped Nemaha Central to 5-2 and Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy to 6-1. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
