Volleyball Recap: Whitewater's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Whitewater had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Calhoun Yellow Jackets 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won four contests in a row.

Lailah Brown paced Whitewater's offense, picking up 22 kills. Brown got some help from Matilde Kofoed and her 19 assists. Finally, Courtnie Thomas kept Whitewater's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Despite the defeat, Calhoun saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lilly Hayward had nine digs and two aces.

Whitewater's victory bumped their record up to 26-7-1. As for Calhoun, they moved to 35-10 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

Whitewater has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Cherokee Bluff on the 29th. Calhoun does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
