Basketball Game Preview: Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons vs. Alma Cardinals

The Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons will head out to challenge the Alma Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Wilcox-Hildreth didn't have too much trouble with Sumner-Eddyville-Miller as they won 44-30. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wilcox-Hildreth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Bunger, who posted 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Bunger is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cara Bunger, who had nine points in addition to seven steals and six boards.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Alma took on Blue Hill on Thursday. Alma enjoyed a cozy 43-26 win over Blue Hill.

Wilcox-Hildreth's record now sits at 2-0. As for Alma, their record now sits at 3-1.

Wilcox-Hildreth couldn't quite finish off Alma when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 42-39. Can Wilcox-Hildreth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
