Baseball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

New Hope's tournament run continued when they took on Christ Presbyterian Academy on Tuesday. The New Hope Indians came up short against the Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions, falling 18-4. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Layton Pohl was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

New Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, New Hope will take on Austin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Hope is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bob Jones at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
