Basketball Recap: Eufaula Comes Up Short

Eufaula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by the Enterprise Wildcats 70-38. The Tigers lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 64-57 score last time.

Malachi Reed was a one-man wrecking crew for Enterprise as he went 8 for 9 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Reed a new career-high in points. Tucker Wadsworth was another key player, putting up 12 points along with six assists and six boards.

Eufaula's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Enterprise, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Eufaula didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-54 victory against Long on the 20th. As for Enterprise, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-53 loss against Dutchtown on the 20th.
