After each having a week off, the Windermere Wolverines and the Oak Ridge Pioneers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Windermere's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Windermere's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They blew past Lake Buena Vista 36-0. The 36-point effort marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jaylen Davis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 64 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries, while also picking up 61 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those two receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Windermere's defense and their five sacks. Justus Vail was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Caden Torani was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Oak Ridge beat University 27-21 last Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.
Oak Ridge's win came from a few key players Windermere will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Antonio Fields, who threw for 192 yards and a pair of TDs on only 17 passes. A healthy portion of Fields' aerial production (90 yards to be exact) went to Da'ron Newton Caster, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Oak Ridge didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited University to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. The Pioneers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 58.8%.
Windermere's record is now 6-0. As for Oak Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
