Severance came tearing into Monday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Northridge Grizzlies 12-2. For the Silver Knights, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 victory the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Hayden Crank looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Brady Iverson was a standout: he scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Auggie Dominguez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Severance was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Severance's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northridge, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, Severance will challenge Timnath at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cubs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Silver Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northridge, they will face off against Mountain View at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
