The matchup between Whiteville and Red Springs on Friday hardly resembled the 6-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wolfpack snuck past the Red Devils with a 33-28 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolfpack, who have now won four contests in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Red Springs lost, don't look at Chase Boone. Despite the final result, he threw for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Bryan McCollum was in the mix as well, providing the Red Devils with one score.

Whiteville's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Red Springs, their record now sits at 3-6.
