Basketball Recap: Neumann Takes a Loss

Neumann came up into this matchup off a tough 28-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ridge Community Bolts by a score of 48-45 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Celtics have suffered since January 23, 2024.

Ridge Community got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tarique Kennedy out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Kennedy is becoming a predictor of Ridge Community's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 4-2 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Louis, who posted 14 points and six rebounds.

Neumann is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. As for Ridge Community, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.

Neumann didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-55 defeat against Taravella on the 29th. As for Ridge Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-43 win against Golden Gate on the 29th.
