Baseball Recap: Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Ogilvie Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Caleb Crow was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games. As for Ogilvie, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley will challenge Laporte at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ogilvie, they will face off against Pine City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.6 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
