Symmes Valley has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.43 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They walked away with a 16-12 victory over the Northwest Mohawks. The Vikings are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Symmes Valley pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Northwest, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Symmes Valley will challenge Portsmouth West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest, they will square off against South Gallia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something the Mohawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
