Softball Recap: Garfield Triumphs

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Garfield walked away with an 11-6 victory over Nampa.

Kaitlyn Washington was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Nina Breckenridge, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Garfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nampa only posted a batting average of .222.

Garfield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Nampa, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Garfield will take on Lewiston in a tournament on Saturday. As for Nampa, they will square off against Kimberly at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
