Highland has gone 8-2 against Queen Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Highland Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Queen Creek Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Highland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

If Highland beats Queen Creek with 65 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Highland breezed by Tucson High Magnet School to the tune of 65-38 on Thursday. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Queen Creek beat Corona del Sol 60-49 on Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Aztecs are ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Highland pushed their record up to 9-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Queen Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Highland came up short against Queen Creek when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 59-51. Can Highland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
