Basketball Recap: Fisher Catholic's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Fisher Catholic has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops. The Irish were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bishops earlier this season, when they won 43-35.

Tyler Bernett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bishop Rosecrans, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Bernett is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Bernath, who went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points.

Fisher Catholic's loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4. As for Bishop Rosecrans, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fisher Catholic will challenge Fairfield Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Rosecrans, they will face off against Grove City Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Rosecrans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season.
